This is actually hilarious.
SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT.
Beyonce has been on a 123-show tour since March. She kicked off 2013 singing the National Anthem at the inauguration and then performed at the Super Bowl. And in between taking care of her small child and Instagramming her every bowel movement she somehow found time to secretly record an entire album PLUS 14 music videos and NO ONE leaked any of it to the world? Meanwhile I have a shelf from ikea that’s been sitting unfinished in a corner since May.
Beyoncé deliberately picked the part of Adiche talking about how we girls are shamed for our sexuality cause black women’s sexuality is something that gets prodded, picked, and shamed the most. Beyoncé herself has been on the receiving end of criticisms about how she expresses her sexuality.
bad bitches always plan. don’t get that twisted
That whole “getting mad about bigotry/abuse/etc is worse than the abuse itself” stuff is a billionty times not an okay sentiment.
There totally IS something worse than bitterness and revenge.
BIGOTRY AND ABUSE.

beyhive be like “reporting live from your fave’s wig snatching”
love who you love
"stop pitting two women against each other!!"
Real funny how y’all read our empowerment as black women as an attack on your fave white artist.
the best thing about flawless is how girl’s time didn’t win.
that was the entire point! girl’s shouldn’t have to be competition.she was singing about having your own & getting your life & being positive & in the end her crew didn’t even win but that was ok bc she woke up flawless, she lives her life flawless & aspiring for perfection, just like she expects every (black) woman in the world to do.
i love how she connected everything together.
i love how black girls are feeling HAPPY and comfortable and PROUD tonight because of BEYONCE. representation matters. it really does.

let’s not get it twisted, Beyoncé is and been here for black girls. using that Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche, a black woman, excerpt is not a coincidence.
the hood elements of that song isn’t a coincidence.
That black girl braggadocio that’s mostly associated with black female rappers is not a coincidence.
Beyoncé is here for black girls.
